Under strong leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, strong macroeconomic stability and significant improvement in standards of living has been realising in the Kingdom. Real economic growth has maintained to 9.3% in average for last five years, which year 2010 is about 5%, 0.1% in 2009 due to world financial crisis, while Real GDP grow in 2008 is 7%, lower than previous years that peaked at 13.3% in 2005 and slowed down to 10.8% in 2006 and 10.2% in 2007. Per capita GDP increased from US$247 in 1994 to US$792 in 2010. The Royal Government has carefully managed inflation by maintaining it at low rate for many years. At the same time, monetary and exchange rate policies have been prudentially implemented to manage inflation and macroeconomic stability.
Cambodia is a promising and open market with newfound political stability and proven economic growth sustainability. Over recent years, Cambodia has been transformed from a land in crisis to a land of opportunity, and our boom days are just beginning.
