H.E. Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea has attended the 6th East Asia Business Forum with the theme of the Forum “Win-win Cooperation Boosting the Growth of East Asia”

On 13 May 2014 in Haikou City, Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China, H.E. Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister attached to the Prime Minister, Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, accompanied by H.E Chea Vuthy, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board, has attended the 6th East Asia Business Forum with the theme of the Forum “Win-win Cooperation Boosting the Growth of East Asia”.

In his Opening Remark, H.E. Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea touched upon the important role of the Governments and Private Sectors of the East Asia in the promoting contribution to the development and stability in the region. He also addressed the necessity for continuation of strengthening and deepening cooperation among the ASEAN Plus Three countries in the areas of Politic and Security, Economic and Finance, promotion of Trade and Investment and Connectivity, both hard and soft.

A part of the Forum, H.E. Mr. Sok Chneda Sophea had a bilateral meeting with Mr. Yu Ping, Vice Chairman, China Council of the Promotion of International Trade. The meeting mainly was focusing on the deepening of our diplomatic and political cooperation through active participation in enhancing and strengthening in the areas of trade and investment. The meeting also agreed to promote more Chinese enterprises to invest in Cambodia especially in Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone.
